For many Missouri couples going through divorce, the process can be very complex and time-consuming. As such, they may wonder how celebrity couples manage to go through their own divorces while continuing to work and staying in the spotlight.
Celebrity couples getting ready to divorce have several strategies and tricks that they use to smooth out the separation process. For example, many stars agree on a divorce settlement before they ever file the paperwork. This helps stifle excessive media coverage over the details. Because the divorce settlement has already been agreed upon, the former couple can choose when exactly they file. Some file on Friday afternoon, which also lessens the amount of media attention. Others file right before major holidays when people are more likely to be away from televisions and computers.
One perk of being a celebrity is that the courts may actually make it easier for them. For example, the Los Angeles court system has a special underground parking lot that allows celebrities to get in and out of the courthouse without the media knowing. Some celebrities even hire private judges who can take care of divorce proceedings outside of the courthouse. Couples may also decide to release a joint statement to ease fan reaction.
When most Missouri couples get married, they don’t think about potential divorce. Even if they do plan ahead by securing a prenuptial agreement, the process can still be complex. If a former couple has a number of marital assets that need to be divided, they may decide to go to family court.
